Sabato 19 ottobre – h.23

Slow Motion was created in 2005, in central Italy, as a collective of artists responsible for events involving electronic music parties and disco dancing namely Wrong Era, Retro Futuro, East Coast Disco, Studio X, Bar Noir and Spatial Dance

The heads behind Slow Motion are a group of friends hailing from Pescara/Chieti in Italy, with the same peculiar taste in music, however, with different ideas, which together create a unique musical atmosphere. Playing the best underground dance music, from obscure disco to house, space beats to cosmic grooves, the resident DJs also play alongside some of the most interesting international DJs, bands, musicians and live acts in clubs all over the world.

Sensing the lack of a platform for high quality electronic disco from the home of Italo, in 2009 Slow Motion Records was launched. The idea was to take the time to find the best possible Italian music that represents the sound the collective truly loves and the perfect soundtrack for the events and parties.

Showcasing the best of a new generation of Italian producers like Clap Rules, Motorcycle Boy, Alien Alien, The Rimshooters, Andrea Sartori and more, as well as serious heavyweights like Beppe Loda, Francisco and Ajello, Slow Motion Records represents the future sound of Italian disco.

Motorcycle Boy

Motorcycle Boy, born Federico Marchioli, has the mission of spreading contemporary dance music of a new breed of italian producers to the world.

The second release on Slow Motion Records is his own Wrong Era EP. The release features two original tracks and two remixes by Fabrizio Mammarella and The Heels Of Love. His one-man live set offers a mix of electro, techno and disco, totally devoted to the dance floor. He fuses tracks, either edited or unreleased, with sound layers, syncopated rhythms and cinematographic quotes, creating a high impact performance that takes the listener inexorably into his world.

Fabrizio Mammarella

Fabrizio Mammarella has released his first Panorama EP in 2004 on Steve Koteys Hairy Claw imprint. Since then he has made solo records, remixes and collaborations with Kotey himself, The Emperor Machine and Chaz Jankel; and for labels such as Bear Funk, Tiny Sticks, Supersoul, Brontosaurus and Rollerboys, just to name a few.

He’s currently busy with different projects: Telespazio, The Clap Rules band, Filiberto Marmelade and he’s also recording some material with Roman artist Rodion. His production and style are a mixture of electronic disco, dub and psychedelic proto-house.
